Domestic Sewage Treatment Plantis the process of removing contminants from Waste water , primarily from household Sewage. For removing these contaminants from present in sewages of waste water, generally Physical, Chemical, and Biological processes are used and produced treated wastewater (or treated effluent) that is safer for the environment.
Sewage is received at the inlet sump & bar screen chamber by gravity where it is passed through coarse screen for removal of suspended /floating materials.
Activated sludge process using aeration tanks and air blower system shall be provided. The biological process in these reactors utilizes the aerobic bacteria to remove the BOD from waste in presence of air. The aeration tank effluents consisting of excess biomass which is removed by settling in the tube settler. Clarified effluent will overflow from the top of the tube settler tube settler to the filter feed tank/chlorine contact tank where chlorine solution will be dosed.
